Yeah as soon as I drop a winch in there I’m going to have to adjust the preload. Glad I went with 700lb springs over the 650’s.

Definitly. It rides great with this and 700# springs for me. Total bumper and winch weight is around 130lbs

A few pictures of the flex I am able to get, if I had one more railroad tie I’m sure I could go up that without my rear coming off of the ground. It is 10X better then my old shocks that I bottomed out my driver side on and it started leaking fluid.

Hell yah! I’m definitly getting those next. How many leafs total do you have? I’m running a 6-leaf Dakar (use to be the HD 7-pack)

I am running the full HD pack and it doesn’t feel bad at the moment so I’ll probably keep it at 7. How much better is temovong one leaf? I don’t have anything in the rear at the moment and it won’t be for a while since purchasing these was such kick in the pants haha

The HD pack was awesome when I ran a bed rack and a lot of weight, but since I went to a soft canopy that weighs like 20lbs it was a little jarring. The 6-leaf pack still holds 500lbs effortlessly with little sag. I like the ride better (a little more cushy), but if I still ran weight I wouldn’t have taken the third leaf down from the top out. Good to see you are getting that much flex with the full pack!

Believe it or not when I had the full HD pack I put 1000lbs (25 forty pound bags) of bark chips back there and it drove great with .75” sag

I’ll have to think about taking the third leaf out, I have shins coming my way so taking one leaf out wouldn’t add much more time to that install. I’m gonna go back to the obstacle that over flexed my other shock and see how these ones do. I also have my sway bar removed so I want to see how much that increase my flex.

3-degree shims? That’s what I run. The third leaf down is only like 3/8” thick anyways

Ultra fast shipping from @Plastics Guy . Paid for the bump stops on Tuesday and Received them Today (Thursday). As promised, I got them installed so they could be tested this weekend at Morris Mountain ORV.

    1st impressions and install
-Packaged well and double wrapped but paint still scraped from shipping, no fault of the seller
-Look and feel like quality bumps, you can tell the difference in the rubber and the quality from factory
    -Nice painted mounting points
-Easy to install, very straight forward
    -Bolts and loctite is provided

Here are some pictures of the new bumps, old bumps, and comparisons:

I did not order the U-bolt flip kit but most likely will at some point.

Great write up. I’m curious how hard it is to get the front stock bumps off? What did the shop charge for install?

I installed Wheelers Superbumps front and back.

Stock front bumps came off easy with a strap wrench

Has anybody gotten ADS coilovers set up for front long travel? Asked Total Chaos if their Fox or King LT kit version would be better suited for ADS coilovers and they weren't sure.

@Plastics Guy how well do your rear mounts work with an All-Pro U-Bolt flip? I'm currently running Wheeler's Superbumps but need something taller since I did a relocate and went to a bigger rear shock.

I put wd40 on the front bumps and used large pliers to get them off. Was super easy and barely required any force. I did the install myself. Took 2 hrs but I had to cut my leaf spring bolt down shorter because i put the shim and longer bolt in and I took pictures along the way. Could easily be done in a hour or less

I know you can't run "stock" length shocks for LT. Not my first rodeo ;)

They have LT length coilovers on their site, but not much information. I'm sure it'll be a while before I purchase, was just curious if somebody in this thread has had any experience with them.

To my knowledge most 3.5/2 over kits utilize an 8" coilover for 2nd/3rd gens. The kings and foxes (and SAW) you see on TC, Camburg, and Dirt king's websites are coilovers valved specifically for those kit's geometry. So if you wanted to run ADS coilovers with a long travel kit, the only difference between the coilovers is valving/springrate specs, so you'd have to contact the kit manufacturer and get their valving and have ADS build your shocks to that spec.

Yes, but Total Chaos has 2 different +2 LT kits that are specifically made for either Fox or King.
Not 100% sure why there are different part numbers depending on what shock brand you choose, but my assumption is that maybe there is a different design in the lower mount of the coilovers. What I'm curious about is whether or not ADS shocks are similar to Fox or King in terms of which part number Total Chaos kit I would need to get.

Probably has to do with the length lower rod-end King and Fox put on their shocks, so shock tabs might have to be distanced differently. But I cannot attest to either.

Yeah, that would be my guess as well. I guess I'll have to see if ADS has done this before.
