    False.

The lower control arm weak link is the arm to frame bushing design. Literally unfolds and lets go.

    2015-05-29 12.32.45.jpg

Edit: And before you say this is the fault of the drop bracket -- not the case here. Plenty of others with the same thing on mid-travel set ups. I personally took this photo on hells revenge @ Rock Therapy 2015 of Manwithoutaplan's truck.

Not sure what gen we are discussing here -- anyways, same story. 1st gens weak point is indeed the LBJ, albeit to my knowledge no one even makes stock width LCA's for them which is why I assumed 2nd gen.

This is why I’m considering a aftermarket lca for my midtravel setup, or at least finding a pair of stock uca’s to carry as spares. This was @tyfoon11 last weekend

Ouch...I bet those cam bolts were seized too! Anyone else looking to add spare LCA's, I suggest you carry a spare set of cam bolts too, and a sawzall.

    Whole lotta stuff
For the price of upgrading LCAs for mid travel, I'd just go 2+ and keep the stock fenders. But then why not go 3.5+ if you're going to spend the money. It never ends.

Um, at least our LCAs don't just randomly decided to let go of the tire.:hattip:

I personally would prefer the failure pictured above vice the tire folding under like with a LBJ failure

how much settle did you guys running ADS see in the front using the 650 lb coilovers? I just installed mine last week. Marie at Headstrong said they should be about 2.5" preset. I have a 137lb bumper and looks like I got 2.25" of lift. Wondering if it will stay there or if it will settle in time. May have to crank down them down a few turns to get 2.5" of lift

Why do you need 2.5" of lift? Are you clearing everything fine?

Putting 255/85r16 ST Maxx on tomorrow. Guess we will see how they fit. The truck looks good to me right as far as rake is concerned. Just curious how much it might settle. How much lift did you end up with @hoarder23 ?

No idea, didn't measure before I installed my initial lift. I was able to clear my tires so didn't really care. After swapping to the ADS everything still fit so I continued to not care.

Pay less attention to numbers and more about whether your truck does what you want it to.

Well after almost a year of research and time on this forum I finally got everything installed on my 2015. ADS 2.5 RR Coilovers, Total Chaos UCA, Dakars in the rear and 255/85R16 Cooper ST maxx on stock rims. The ride is amazing so far. Can't wait to get it out in to the mountains. Thanks a ton to Marie @HeadStrong Off-Road for everything!

Yeah thats for sure. You can always add them in later as well. I figure once I need the shocks rebuilt, I could send them to ADS to change the config at the same time. I got the clickers and they are pretty awesome! If you set them to max and then push down that skinny pedal, it just absorbs all the bumps. Definitely worth it for higher speed stuff

Dang, that's some sketchy stuff. Maybe I'll get my spare set of LCAs strengthened and then swap em in. Still, that LBJ weakness scares me. Tempted to just change those out when I do the ADS upgrade
