Yeah, it's a little annoying but it was a 10 minute fix so by the time we moved it a little I got over it. My castor is somewhere right around 3 and no rubbing if that helps.

I was able to adjust similar to how MCM had it. A little bit of oil leaked out but hopefully thats okay. Was being very careful wrenching loose the fittings then check if its rotatable. Alas, the hose is not rubbing on the coil anymore.

Are you running weight? The spring is a 650lb spring which is equal to Old Man Emus heavy spring. I would be worried it is too stiff (sorry for all the Qs) want to be sure before I drop $2k

First gen guys, how did you end up mounting your resi? The first picture is how I mounted the drivers side. It clears, but the tire will rub the hose at full lock, especially hitting a bump. Second and third pictures is the passenger side, and it’s no where close to working. I’m having to be careful turning to the left at to not to hit it. I tried to mount it like the fourth picture, so I swapped coils around so that the fittings would line up right, but with my LR UCAs, I felt the arm came too close to the hose and fitting for it to work. I got the picture from this thread, I can’t remeber who’s truck it is...

    Lots of expensive shit
I order them differently for the 1st gens. I made these brackets last year for the 1st Gen Tacoma/3rd Gen 4 runner.

The way yours are, the resi was meant to attach to the frame, sometimes they have clearance issues though based on the wheel offset and tire size.

Same way. Get a new washer fluid reservoir that fits under the hood. If you have larger than stock tires, you're probably rubbing the washer fluid reservoir anyways.

Has anyone gotten to the point of rebuilding their ADS shocks?

No....but I talked at length with someone from the team at ADS about their shocks/applications etc. One of the points we talked about is rebuilding etc. He stated "we rebuild all kinds of shocks here....I have some Kings in front of me and just completed 4 sets of Icon's etc" These guys know suspension.
They seem to have a really solid knowledge base.

The guy who helped me install my stuff has been in this business for a while (20 years of suspension and 4x4 build outs) and was " blown away at the quality of product"

Also, I like how you can pick up the phone and speak directly to ADS. Hope this helps.

Thanks, I was also wondering how many miles/abuse people put through them before rebuilding and if everyone went back to ADS for the rebuild. They seem to know their stuff and I like how reachable they are to us peasants.

Yes. Had a local guy do it.

2.5 seasons. Somewhere around 25k miles with lots of off-road, they were in need of it. Also had to swap the lower spherical bearing in between.

I had a toytec setup that failed ( I can forward pics) What a fucking joke Toytec was with their customer service/communication. It was painful....with that said, I started to look for a solution/setup.

It was King, Icon, or ADS. I talked to all three and went with ADS. Brian at ADS was ultra communicative (emails and texts)- Like night and day from Toytec.

Call this guy at ADS: 520-850-2004 Brian Turner is his name.
He is who I talked with along with one of the the suspension guys.

This is what I went with upfront:

Part: 250-T4006-000 001 05- 18 Tacoma Remote Resi Fr 2- 3" Lift- Pair Remote Reservoir Includes 700 lb coils
I also swapped out my UCA's from TC to Camburg.

After new tires (was badly in need) and an alignment- It's like a new truck.

    Rear suspension stayed the same:

Marie from Headstrong said 75k miles for road driving, so maybe 50k with a mix of off-roading? She also stated it was one of the highest mileage before service she has seen on any shock (this was a personal email see below)

Servicing again depends on use and overall maintenance. ADS for example notes that with mainly street use you can go around 75k without a rebuild. They are one of the highest that I know of.

I sent mine back for a rebuild this spring after about 25k, took about a week to turn them around. I told them about how I used them and they felt great when I reinstalled them.

I spoke with one of the R&D guys from Icon at an event this year and they said rebuilding shocks is like changing your oil. The specific interval is highly dependant on your style of driving but it's better to do it early than late. If you start to notice decreasing performance, it's time to rebuild. Mine blew a seal and started to leak.
