Is the Advanced Tech Package ($3690) worth it over the Standard Tech Package ($1285)? I've read mixed reviews on the MTM and I don't really care that much about the premium audio/navigation since I'll be using CarPlay 98% of the time. Either package I get would include the LED headlights.

So are the MTM and better speakers worth the $2405?

I have standard tech but regret not getting the Advanced Tech with MTM. When off roading, especially at night, there have been numerous times I could not see obstacles over the hood/side that I could have switched on the MTM cameras to see. If I had to do it over, MTM would be a must but that's me. Most may not care or need it and you can upgrade your speakers and add an amp for sound that would be superior to what is offered by the factory.

If you plan on doing any off-roading beyond well worn service roads, I'd recommend getting the MTM package.

The Advanced cost $2400 more than the Standard. On a $40,000-45,000 truck, my opinion is get the Advanced Tech. You may not recoup the whole $2400 when you sell it, but it should make your truck more desirable when it comes time to sell. That was my thinking in 2016 when I got the Premium Tech Package.

I got the advanced tech and I’m glad I did. I use the MTM way more than I even thought I would.

Harden your bark, there are storms on the horizon.
I've always had a spotter when I was doing any serious offroading. :tinfoilhat:

I am ordering a 2022 Toyota Tacoma TRD Off-road and am trying to decide if I should get the tech package or the advanced technology package. Definitely want leather though. If I get the Advanced technology package with the Multi-terrain-monitor (front and mirror cameras) will I be able to upgrade my grill to the PRO grill with no issues? Thanks!
