We spend the day and drove up to Big South Fork in north Tennessee. Drove out to O and W bridge. This canyon is one of my favorites to visit. Amazing views and great whitewater!

Well I just confirmed my order with @traxman25 and 4x Innovations rear bumper for my Taco! Decided to not get the swing out tire....as much as I love the look its a PITA when you are getting stuff in and out of the bed all the time. Stoked for this steel bumper to arrive

Also my recovery boards showed up yesterday. Look pretty good for cheap ones off of Amazon. I wont be using this much at all so didnt see the need in a big investment. I have to work out how I want to mount them on my roof rack (over the cab). Ive got some ideas and i'll make the mounts at work today. Maybe get them mounting in the next few days if this rain will ever let up!

My X-bulls (look exactly the same) have gotten me out of a pinch or two. Didn't feel like having 3-600 bucks in plastic on my truck that rarely gets used, so $80ish seems about right to me!

Got my larger cargo net installed today. Super easy install, just eye bolts with female threads....use the end of the yakima track bolts to attach. Clip the net up and BOOM done. The smaller nets are velcro ones I already had so i just moved them down to use for small items

Got one of my recovery boards mounted today, worked well and will be easy to remove when needed. Just need to get one more bolt and I'll mount the other one. Decided to mount them side by side instead of stacked to keep them as low to the rack as possible. All stainless steel hardware so should last on the roof

I had ordered a new rear bumper from 4x Innovations and it arrived today. FedEx tracking said left at garage door. I though perfect I wont have far to carry it plus the wife wont notice it sitting there when she gets home. Well I home from work (after my wife) and here is what I roll up on. Lets just say the wife "noticed" the bumper lol

Getting ready to paint the bumper. Decided to go with a flat black (no texture). Bumper is cleaned and sanded, going to prime it tonight and I hope paint in Thursday after turkey!

Got the first pass of flat black down today on the rear bumper...another to come tomorrow. I have also decided to add a textured paint on the bumper to make it easier to stand on . On a side note I used the Black Friday special and got the @C4 Fabrication low pro front bumper!!! SO stoked for this design. Adds function and still keeps the clean look I love of the 2nd Gen Tacoma.

Over the weekend I was about to get my @4x Innovations rear bumper installed. Bumper didnt come with any instructions but was very straight forward. Only issue I ran into was getting my trail wiring harness through the hole in the bumper. After posting up about my issues 4x responded quickly and I'll try to get this fix in the next day or two. Over all i am happy with how it turned out. Im not a fan of the LED lights than can with it to light up the license plate so im hunting for a better option right now

Got my hands on a set of heavy duty linear slides from work. They were going to be trashed and i was able to grab them for free. Slides can support 500 lbs a slide at full extension. Also full extension is almost 70"!! Ive got an idea of making a slide for my cooler and storage drawers that sits low to the truck bed. That way when we put the bed platform in the sliding area would not interfere but it could also be used separate from the platform when its not being used (i dont leave the bed install at all times)
