I bought this “add a sub” harness from a recommendation. It comes with an loc already wired in. I was skeptical about using it in the first place, was going to get a better one when I read that the amp I bought works with speaker level inputs. It’s the Alpine S-A60M. I attached a picture.
I want to cut the loc and get some bare wire to rca converters and plug it in that way. Anyone have any thoughts here?

I’m used to aftermarket head units, this is my first add an amp.

Just leave the loc on there. The S series amps don’t do great with their hi-level inputs, and that loc is perfectly acceptable

Thanks! I see there’s adjustments on it, any advice for those? The more I read about them, I don’t see much about what to do with those.

They’re super basic volume adjustments. Set them all the way up and focus on the amp settings
