Except... when you're doing this, ALWAYS put the lock-nuts as close to the material surface as possible so there's the least amount of torque flex, and NEVER use a Metric Fitzall! If you don't own the correct size wrench, use it as an excuse to buy a nice set of combination wrenches!

Cheapest and easiest thing you can do is replace the stud.

Look up the double nut method, if you don't have enough of the stud left for that then you might be able weld something like an alan wrench to whats left of the stud and break it free. Vise grips should also do the job.

    Stock. EZ pass.Dump pass.Inspection sticker.Convict printed lic.plates.FG cap.
Use locking vise grips to turn the stud counterclockwise backing it out.
Then thread a new M8 x 1.25 stud back in by locking 2 nuts on it and turn clockwise using proper size socket wrench.
OE are 12mm nuts. My replacements we're 13mm nuts.

I seriously still have the sensor held together by the hose clamp in my last picture. I checked to see if any smoke came out of there recently by using a flashlight on it at night, and I didn't see any

You can put some high heat gasket maker or exhaust sealant in between the sensor and the port and tighten up that hose clamp again, then you’ll have no leak for sure

HAHA love it. I broke mine today, and honestly don't even want to fix it right now, I'm busy as shit. It is currently held on by 1 bolt. How does your truck run with the hose clamp? I'm going to run it the same until next o2 sensor swap and replace the whole bung. It's rusted to hell anyways. And for some reason I cant get more than 2 years out of an o2 sensor. I expected more from Denso.

Remains to be seen I bought the tires and wheels the rest came along
Just curious how many miles do you drive in 2 years??

I have never had issues with the 02 sensors on my 22Re engines the 3.4 remains to be seen.

The ones on the 3.4 could be original like the timing belt at 250,000 miles

Seriously, Bosch ran a marketing campaign years (decades?) ago about replacing sensors @100k as maintenance, but sensors generally last longer than that…Bosch was just trying to sell unnecessary sensors.

Not much driving tbh. And to be fair I’ve only replaced 2 in the last 5-6 years. Maybe I got lemons? ‍♂️ It’s in a 2.7 with about 210,000 miles

Here's a pic of how it looks right now. It's pretty crazy how well it has held up
