    Hi everyone,
I'm looking for some ideas on comfort for my 2015 trd sport dbl cab pre runner.
I needed a truck for around the house chores. Drive a lot of freeway for work. Can b cpl hours a day.
I love this truck (have had few accords prior) it's durable, has some get up to it and looks great. But had some issues with the road noise, stock sound system and how it hurt my back after being in it for an hour.
I sound deadened the entire cab and one of the fenders so far18) 3'x3' sheets. . Upgraded the sound and am good with the results. Pretty quiet at 80mph. And sound is night and day.
Grabbed a back wedge, it helped some but I'm still stiff and need to ice my lower back after hour ride home.
Neighbor said old man emo would smooth it out. Have a connection that does katskin leather kits.
    Anybody have ideas?
I'm 47. various occasional neck issues previously.. It's lower back that bothers me after hour in the truck.

46 with hip tendonitis. I roll up a towel and put it under my knee for support, helps immensely. Did you put in a new head unit? I kept mine and added amps and speakers but the sound level is still crap.

I keptstock entune. Just have front components and a sub.
Preamp eq helped. Has alot to adjust. So much depends on eq of recording that u dontnotice as much on lesser systems
    Soundeadening was big difference.

Wow, that's a sexy install. Mine's a mess behind the back seat.

No, Old Man Emu does not ride better than stock supsension. Not any worse, but certainly not better. Mine is still stiff as a board with OME lol.

I need to rip mine apart and do the sound deadening next, already bought all the mat from a group buy like 2 years ago lol.

I read somewhere you can put washers and new bolts under the front anchor points of the driver seat to tilt it back some. And then bending the headrest back so its flush with the seat helps as well. Try using one of the rear head rests in its place to see how your back feels after that.

You might also try putting a couple bags of sand or such in the bed to see how it feels. Amazing how a couple hundred pounds softens up the suspension. Noticed quite a bit of difference between Shell and no Shell with the Shell adding 250 or so pounds. Also, if you have the Lumbar adjustments ply with them. I have 4 bulged discs and simply playing with the adjustment did a lot. The towel under the knees trick might work also as the taco's have you sitting pretty straight legged. Always like driving big trucks and Vans simply for the seating position.

OP stated that he has stiffness and needs to ice his back after hours in the truck, then you claimed OME Suspension would be better for him. Smack yourself in the head all you want but truth is truth, and OME won't help the situation at all.

the sound deadener eliminated the ringy hollow sound in the cab at freeway speed. the doors shutting and overall feel is more solid.i did one fender and sprayed rubberized undercoating in it and i think that helped with some wind noise. i shouldve done drivers side first.

Truth is truth  yeah like I believe everything everyone says online is the truth. Here's a heads up, a stiff ride for one person is soft for another. What's next you're a French model on your time off?

You deadened one of the fenders? And it helped with road noise? Or?

I did the same with my cab and the difference is amazing. Well worth the effort...which was substantial.

You're not going to get a cushy ride in these trucks for cheap. I went with Icons and there is still a lot of room for improvement IMO.

    BTW that install is tits!

Some weight in the bed of the truck will make a huge difference in ride comfort.
Also there is an anti whiplash mechanism in the lumbar area of the seat. A few guys here have removed that with great success in increased comfort.

Does removing the headliner and putting sound deadener on the roof really help? Also noticed the sub with the oem radio?
