So, I bought my grandparents Tacoma from them, it's a 2013 2.7L 2WD DCSB which had 37k miles on it. I am right near 42k on it now, and it's going to be due for an oil change (it's been nearly 6 months since the previous change). Since the truck is encroaching on 10 years old, I was thinking about just taking it to my local Toyota dealer to have them give it a good once over. What service should I look into doing for it? I looked over the scheduled maintenance, but they put so little miles on it that I'm confused as to what I need to do vs what I don't. Does anyone have any thoughts on this? They had it serviced regularly, and it was in South Florida, so no rust on the underside, and they never towed anything with it either. If I'm missing any useful info, please let me know. Thanks!

Sounds like you got a peach, congrats. Can't fix what ain't broke. I'd just continue service as scheduled per the owners manual, with obvious attention to wear items (brakes, etc)

Sweet! Welcome to TW and have fun with your new truck =)

Yeah follow your service manual and you'll be fine since you know the service history of this truck.

For vehicles that I have no clue what they did then I go through and change all the fluids but this peach you should have no worries.

I’d just wait until next year and do the coolant and differential fluid. By then you’ll be at 50k for the differential and 10 years on the coolant.

    Enjoy your new truck:thumbsup:
