    Hi everyone,

    I have a sabbatical coming up and am thinking about going on a solo road trip up the coast from southern CA. I'm not sure how far I want to travel, but was thinking a 2 day drive would be the max distance. Advice on locations, events, fun stops, camping, etc. would be very helpful.

    I second Highway One. I went to California to visit my sister and we went on a 5 day road trip.
    Finished it off with a drive on Highway One.
