I was looking at rims for my Tacoma, I researched the bolt patern to be 6-5.5, with a backspacing of 5.5 and offset of +30mm on a 17x7.5 stock rims. I was wondering if 17x8 with the 6x5.5 bolt pattern and 4.5 backspacing with 0 offset would give me any issues. I don't fully understand the concept of the offset and if someone could shoot me some advice that would be appreciated.

No issues there. The wheels will stick out 1.5" more than your stockers. (1" from the backspacing, and 0.5" from the width)
