    Anytime Backup Camera
I installed an Anytime Backup Camera kit on a Tacoma 2023. I followed the instructions carefully (two electrical engineers with good knowledge about cars did the work). Connections were carefully made and secured. The camera worked fine for two months and it was amazing.

Then it developed an intermittent problem. It appears the system is latching, and cannot recognize the front camera.

When I start my car after letting the car sit overnight, if I turn on the camera immediately, it works. If, however, I drive for 5 to 10 mins., and try to use the camera, it doesn't work. The LED on the switch does not light up leading me to believe it doesn't have power. But if I park my truck and wait hours, it works again.

If I start my truck, and turn on the camera, and leave it on, at least half the time it randomly shuts off with a loud click, in about 5 to 10 mins, and I only see the back camera. Toggling the switch doesn't help. Toggling power doesn't help either.

So it appears that something is getting latched or locking up. Is this a grounding problem?

I am fairly certain we installed it correctly with high-quality connections. And it did work flawlessy for about two months.

    Any advice would be appreciated.

    Best regards.

My guess, it's one of the electrical components gone bad. But I know crap about that stuff.
