2003 Tacoma V6 4WD - just bought. Guy has a Minuteman SD plow on it which I figure is about 250-300lbs. Driver's side front spring is broke. Figured I'd replace both front springs/shocks. Looking for recommendations from those with greater knowledge than myself. This is mainly a plow/get stuff at home depot type of truck. Thanks !

I would advise against plowing with a Toyota, I know many people do it, but it is very hard on your front end and the first gen frame is marginal at best for that kind of stress.

Is your plow going to be used for just your personal plowing ??

Since the plow will only be on most likely every day from Nov. 1 to maybe May 1 if your in the Lake Effect area

I would go with just the stock replacement front springs

Then if your planning trips of several hundred miles with the plow on I might think of going to a heavier spring

Then putting up with the harsher ride when the plow is off.

It comes down to just how your going to use the truck

Correct - personal, residential plowing. Two driveways. Not driving more than 15 miles w plow at any one time. Thanks !
