First off love this forum. Been a huge help and inspiration for my Tacoma. So when I got my 2010 Tacoma the exterior was overall super clean except on both sides it has body trim protectors that are cracking and peeling off. Doesnt look great. This side is actually much nicer than the other one. Looking for some advice on how to remove the current ones and what would be best to replace it. From what I can tell the protectors are clear but wondering if you can buy white ones.IMG_5073.HEIC.jpg

I believe a hair dryer or heat gun is what most people use. Probably get some goof off afterwards to clean it up and get the residual glue off.

The problem with white ones is they won't be a color match. The clear ones are an OEM part that you can buy, or you can just buy your own 3M film on ebay and cut to match, and then apply with soapy water and a squeege.

Heat gun, plastic razor blades, goof off, goo gone, and time. I spent like 4 hours + getting the junk off my fender flares. I skipped painting them white and went with raptor liner.

Thanks, yeah I wondered about color matching. Will see how they turn out once I get the existing film off.
