I have an 07 DC that I want to put a 3" Toytec lift on.

There are 2 large four wheel drive shops in my area and both of them will not put on 3" lifts. They tell me that 3" lifts are terrible for driveline components and will cause premature driveline failure.

Both of these shops will only do 2" spacers or I have to go all the way up to a full 6" lift.

My question is, are they correct?

If they are not correct, and I ordered a 3" Toytec lift, how would I go about getting it installed? Will any local mechanic shop be able to do this?

    Please help!!

No, 3" coilovers will greatly out perform spacers. If you install the diff drop as well you will be equal to if not better than stock

Welcome to TW! If you are halfway handy with some basic tools, you can do the install your self. Also, Check and see if there are some members in your area that can lend a hand. Many shops will only put spacers on because they are idiots.

    I appreciate the responses.

I think I am going to call Toytec tomorrow and see what they recommend.

Also, with this type of lift, do I also need to swap out the UCA's?

    What is reccommended?

    Thanks!

It is recommended you get some aftermarket UCAs- Better travel proper alignment and general badass-ness factor. But it is NOT required.

Welcome to the board and good on yo for not taking what the shop said and going on that...

Find a new shop and do what I did. GO WITH TOYTEC. I love everything about mine, especially the ride.
