It's been some time since I've posted anything here, but after a deer decided to end his life in front of my truck last week I couldn't think of a better place to seek much needed advice. I actually just bought this truck 2 weeks ago making this my third Tacoma.

As of right now I have stripped all of the damaged parts off of the truck. The only mechanical component that I found to be damaged was the condenser as well as the piping/drier. As you can see from the pics the front end is pretty much toast including the following components: front bumper, bumper valence, passenger side fog, grille, driver side headlight mounting hardware, both corner lights. As you can see in picture 3 the cross member located in front of where the condenser was located is damaged. I was able to pull it out somewhat. However, the bolts mounting the painted cross member to the frame are not lining up in the holes. In the last picture you can see a side view of what I am speaking of.

I would like to do these repairs myself as I believe I am competent for the job. I have done some research on reproduction OEM components and from what I've gathered they do not line up with preexisting mounts and often times have to be retrofitted to work.

With all of that said here are my questions:
How much do you believe this will cost?
How do I determine part numbers for all of the parts I need? Items such as head light mounting hardware are difficult to pin point.
Should I go back with OEM Toyota parts or reproduction?
I the damage to the front "painted" cross member too far gone to salvage?

Dang, I'm sorry man. I have a 1996 so I can't really help you out there. The grill, bumper, and hood had to be replaced on mine because a high speed jeep backed into it. Cost after painting hood and roof where the paint had faded was $1500. I paid cheap and got cheap parts and work. Kind of wish I would've took it elsewhere and asked for oem parts.

I always try to use OEM parts from salvage. They just seem to fit better, less trouble later.
Its up to you on what you want to invest into your taco.
