I’ve been coming to this forum for a few years now. Finally joined and this is my first post. Looking for some advice and not looking to be shot down with negative comments so here we go!

I currently own a 2020 TRD Off road in midnight black with the 5ft bed. I’m kinda in the process of possibly selling it. 68k and clean, taken care of.

Anyway, I am wondering if I should buy another, the reason I’m selling is I can hopefully make a decent amount on the sale and honestly the midnight black just isn’t my favorite if I’m being honest and I’d probably get a 6ft bed if I were to do it again.

Here’s the issue, the thought of buying a Tundra or 4Runner came to my mind lately, wife drives a 4Runner and we have 2 girls who are about to become teenagers and a 14 month year old. Would it be pointless to go for a second 4Runner? And there’s the Tundra, crewmax, sr5 off-road package OR I just get another Tacoma. I do love the truck, I just don’t love the short bed and color which is fine I know I’d make those changes if I were to buy a 2021 or 2022. New Tacoma doesn’t really interested me yet…

Anyway any advice from those who have sold and moved on to other vehicles in the Toyota line up or bought another!

    thanks

    Welcome to the Forum!

The real question is do you really need a truck??

I always had both but right now the Tacoma is down for a long term refit I really miss not having the truck.

To the point for the right price I would buy another one.

    Good Luck !!

You, wife, car seat for the toddler, and two teenagers sounds like an AWFUL tight fit in a Tacoma. Even a Tundra, but at least you'd have a little more space. I'd be looking for something bigger. Or maybe something with a third row seating, and get a small trailer for utility duties.

Well the wife has the 4Runner and I thought we could use her car as the family hauler and get the Tacoma to throw stuff in the back when needed. I feel like the Tundra would be awesome but 70% of the time it would be just too much. Tacoma with 6ft bed would be nice for camping too, she drives the 4Runner and I take the Tacoma but we will see. I do love the Tacoma but did think of 2 4Runners would be nice.
