hey guys! Looking for some advice. I did tons of research and found countless posts of people talking about running 265/70/17s on stick suspension with no rubbing at all (I’ve even seen people claiming to run 285s with no rubbing).

I bought some Mayhem Warriors (17x9 with a -12 offset and 4.53” backspacing). So many of the reviews I read said as long as I had the 4.5” of back spacing I’d be fine. The stock rims were only 7.5” wide but they had a positive 30 offset which I believe is also 4.5” so I’m not sure what the issue is.

My question becomes, what is my solution? Do I have to lift the truck? Is it possible just adding spacers would do the trick or is it maybe possible that I need to do both? I just dropped over $1600 on the rims and tires (duratracs).

My truck is a 2015 with less than 25,000 miles on it. I don’t wanna mess it up, but I also don’t have the money right now to invest in a top notch lift. I’m just looking for some advice on what the best course of action at this point would be to rectify my issue without having to spends hundreds or thousands of dollars. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Looks like you’re rubbing the little flap in the front, remove it.

It’s definitely hitting the little mud flaps, but it’s rubbing much higher up into the wheel well also (well above that little flap). I’m in the northeast and I’d like to avoid removing or cutting any of the plastic, if possible, to avoid accelerated rusting. If I have to remove those little flaps I will, but that will not completely solve my problem as the rubbing while turning does much higher than those flaps. I’m just wondering if anyone knows if spacers would potentially solve my problem or if I just need to bite the bullet and go straight to the lift.

try a heat gun and push whatever plastic is rubbing inward. I did this to mine to clear same size tire with scs sr8 wheels
