I'm not even worried about that truck anymore. They did not know anything about it and were not willing to do any negotiating.

I think that the SX will be very popular. I wonder if you are just ahead of the curve.

There is another way also.... put your hand right in front of the exhaust (not on) - you will get condensate if coolant leak. Smell your hand after... you will smell the coolant as well. You will also smell oil if it is having oil blowby issues (failing rings, valve stems, etc).

Just curious: Mentioning the TPMS light after talking about the lifted suspension makes it sound like the lift causes the TPMS light to come on. Is that the case, and if so, how does the lift cause that? Or is the issue the larger tires that require a different inflation pressure than the TPMS is programmed for?

The concern was probably worrying that there were no sensors in the aftermarket wheels.

Don't buy used from a dealership. Private party is where the deals are at. Got mine for 5k under the KBB price. 3+ years later and 60k+ miles and i've had no issues.
If I were looking to buy used again, which I will be eventually, I'd check out the for sale section of this forum first.

Just as @shakerhood said, I was pretty sure there were no sensors swapped over, and the salesman was clueless. When I asked him about the lift he sounded like I asked him to give a solution to world hunger.

Another dealership may be willing to bring one from out of region.

What do you care as long as price is right. Bonus if it arrives early.

Also, they may find one with extra features they have to discount to get to your price.

Not sure of OPs region, but my own experience with GST and SET is that they refuse to acknowledge each other and will not even consider each other competitively. Other areas under Toyota distributorship may have better cross-regional interaction.

    Good point I misspoke.

I meant, they might be able to go outside of the immediate area say to nearby cities.

Of course if you live on the border of distributor territories, their may be wildly different prices and options.

For those who watched this thread, thank you for the input and patience has paid off. I cancelled the SR order at one dealership and bought this beauty at the other local dealership. It just so happened this truck showed up at this time, I guess it was a dealer swap, some other dealership need a truck this dealer had and they got this Sport in return.
