Advice on buying a used Tacoma

Hello, my name is Rob. I currently live in San Diego and drive a 2006 Nissan Titan 4WD w/ 42k miles. The Titan is paid off and i really wanna switch over to a Tacoma. I am in the DC Metro area for work for the next month and i noticed there are a lot of used 4WD Tacomas for sale out here. I found a nice a one with all the options i want and it only has 60k miles. From what i hear, rust is something to watch for out here. Anything else i should i should be on the lookout for? I am looking for the truck to make it with no major issues for at least 5-6 more years.

Unless the truck was parked right next to the beach it's entire life, rust will likely not be an issue being from Southern California.

 

I think he is looking in DC...just had my '08 on a lift yesterday and it looked pretty decent for being from Chicago. There was only a small amount of rust on the udercarriage.
