Yes, I have the Borla (see signature).

I personally like it. But sound is subjective to the individual. And videos are never the same as hearing it in person.

The Borla I have has a good rumble without being loud. No drone while highway driving. You really only hear it when you stomp on it.

Ive only heard one modified exhaust locally. Waiting at a stop light to turn, the guy did a ricer flyby past me, sounded like shit! Lol

Stock doesn't sound all that bad considering I'm shifting manual trans. Just a little bit more note would be great.

Edit edit edit. Fuckin tard over here. Gibson clips all over YouTube.

Like others said, YouTube is a tough when choosing an exhaust. Better than looking at a catalogue and hoping for the best but still not a great gauge of how it sounds once it’s in your driveway.

Thanks to all for the input.

I would buy my Borla again. I got the black tip and looks good with MGM. You can hear it but it’s not obnoxious. You don’t hear it on the interstate unless you get on it.

It seems the borla is listed only for the autos. Can anyone confirm ?

I should be picking this one up tomorrow. I can take linear measurements of the setup if you’d like

I’m pretty sure this Borla fits both the AT and MT. It’s the same stock exhaust and the fitment was spot on. Haven’t started it up yet to see how it sounds since the kiddos are sleeping but install was super easy.

Same setup (and truck, but I couldn't wait 3 months for the cement to show up with a 6-speed, so I snagged what I could). I notice some droning on the highway, but that's to be expected, it's an aftermarket exhaust....I do get the coveted crackle/pop between shifts from time to time, especially shifting at lower RPMs, it's cute. Hearing a few trucks around town, I think the Borla is quite a bit louder than the TRD exhaust, but actually sounds halfway decent for a v6. Definitely sounds better in person.

I’m really enjoying it on the AT so far. 2.5 in definately seems like the right pipe diameter for this truck and the exhaust has a nice note to it.

I like that at 1800-3000rpm I don’t have to hear it unless I really want to (doesn’t get loud enough to bother me unless I’m at 50% throttle and trying to hear it or going up a hill). That said there’s one point in the rev range I notice a little drone and it’s 3200 rpm when really stepping on it - light throttle, no drone; 50-75% throttle, some drone but shifting gears clears it quickly.

At idle it sounds great, and it does at WOT in the high rpm range. It doesn’t have the underwater sound that the 3inch pipe had when I tried another exhaust and for a straight through setup it has a surprising ability to make this V6 sound decent. I had my doubts about that possiblity after hearing some other options out there. My only complaint is that the tip is welded which means more work to paint it black in the spring.

Edit - around 18-20 volume on the stereo and you’d never know it’s there. Which is perfect for me.

Interesting. No drone for me and the AT I have. I guess what is tolerable or noticeable drone is subjective. Our prior Audi S4 had a downpipe and exhaust. Now that setup had some serious drone, usually backing out of the garage (slow speeds, low RPMs). Thought my ears were gonna bleed...

As I was writing my post I wondered how subjective it was or how much was based on where I drive. CT is pretty hilly so going up a decent grade on the highway at 80mph might be louder than going 80 anywhere in Texas or somewhere else relatively flat. That said it’s not bad at all and goes away very quickly.
