    Good morning guys.

Edit: My Tacoma is a 2003 PreRunner with a 3.4L V6 and auto transmission.

Today as I was doing some maintenance and I noticed a leak. After some inspection I found out that a component of my power steering was leaking fluids.

It seems like it's a clamp that may not be keeping enough pressure to seal the hose connecting to the steel tube.

What should I do now? Is there a replacement I can get for that hose? If so what is it called?

Or should I replace the whole assembly if so what is it called?

Don't know how old your truck and that particular hose is, but before replacing it you should first determine whether it's the clamp that has failed or if the fluid is coming through the walls of the hose itself. Get some brake cleaner and clean up that area thoroughly and install a new clamp. Check it periodically until you can determine whether the clamp was the cause of the leak.

Looks like your return line. It's a low pressure line and I'm sure those clamps are holding fine. It's only like a 1 foot section of hose. You can use 3/8 (iirc) fuel line but for like a buck or two more, you can get actual atf line (by the foot) at nearly amy auto parts store. It wouldn't take but maybe 5 minutes to replace too. Be sure to top off fluid as well.

Think its a gates replacement...you can get that for about $80 thru auto zone.....made for exact replacement....
the other high pressure side goes for about $175......they have to be ordered....takes couple days.....

Its a pia undoing the frame clips holding it in place......

That hose is going to continue to degrade....putting liquid sand paper in your 1200psi hydraulic system.......

hydraulic hoses have a service life of 48 to 60 months.......
nothing lasts forever......no magic dust in the toyotas.........

I got the entire hose assembly from O'reilly's, high pressure and low pressure. They had it in stock.
It's kind of a mess to change but I had the old one out and new one in, in about 3 hours.
