The reason I question is I never had the 'taco lean' until I replaced my original leafs with Deavers.
To cure the lean, I cut the OEM overload leaf to match the perch and added it to my new DS leaf pack. I guess you could say that I have a 3/4" lift block on that side but it cured my lean 100%.

Yeah that is a lot of lift for stock ucas...no wonder your tires are wearing weird. The JBAs will help a lot.

    Nice wheels...
Yeah, lower the front to match the rear and you're good. Should preserve the shocks as then you'll have some down travel.

I don't think you need to take them out until you get a better lift to put in its place...unless you're talking about doing it in the meantime to avoid more wear on your tires? It might rub it might not...hard to say. How much lift do the spacers give you? They don't look very big in the photos. I think having the 5100s on the 2nd notch is probably the main source of your stiff ride and height over the 2" the 881s provide

The ride is firm not stiff IMO
driver side is bigger for the taco lean

FWIW I have run strut top spacers on top of my 5100/885 combo for a couple years and it has been a phenomenal combo on & off road for a very low price. (Only about $450 for this as an assembled coilover from wheelers). I have a larger strut top spacer on the DS to help with lean. I also have beefy superbumps which helps me keep from bottoming out the shock before the coil. I wheel my truck hard and it’s my DD. & I haven’t had any failures with my shocks. Just sharing my experience. I also have very flexible uniball UCA which help. Again, beefed up bump stops are a big component to jeep shocks happy so remember that. Don’t mind my mismatched coilover thread nut... I stripped the previous one and .... this has been my solution for now. You MUST have long top studs to safely run strut top spacers. My DS studs are barely long enough. It’s whatever.

    Dident get that tag earlier.
If your thinking of getting a full lift kit later on you’ll be fine with the spacers for now. Just remember they push the suspension down, which means on full compression you will most likely bend the shocks before the factory bump stops take the force.

I haven’t done much on 1st gens so someone else might be better to answer. @TMFF or @Squeaky Penguin

if your getting rid of the spacers you cound do a 1/4” one on DS to account for taco lean. A 1/2” spacer will net 1” of lift since the suspension is ~2:1 ratio.

yeah you will definitely want a different size spacer for taco lean...a 1/2" spacer giving 1" lift will be way too much unless you have some really abnormally bad lean on that side. Usually a 10mm spacer is used, or a 1/4" if necessary

10mm is what most people use, but if you have worse taco lean that most then you'll want the 1/4". I would get the 10mm and see where you stand with that.
