I'm headed out to pick up a 1999 ext cab that's going to be used as a work truck for our environmental business, mostly working on wetland restoration sites for doing field surveys, hauling hand equipment around, doing prescribed burns etc. I'd like advice and suggestions on equipping it, including:
    • Tires
    • Front bumper
    • Winch
    • Lift, if needed
    • Anything else you suggest

The truck will travel an average of about 10-30 miles one way each day on the interstate to get to job sites, and will probably never go more than 100 miles from the office. We use ATVs & UTVs a lot, and it's easy to trailer them for longer travels. The truck would be used on sites where it's easier to take 1 vehicle that can do everything instead of a truck/trailer/atv combo as well as on projects where we need the extra bed capacity or enclosure of a truck.

Normal conditions are mud and brush. This would be used mostly in forested wetlands, in case anyone was thinking marsh/open bayous when I mentioned wetlands. I'm attaching a few photos of example conditions and sites. This truck will never see rocks.

We like original Outlaw tires on ATVs & UTVs for traction and puncture resistance. I realize that tires on a truck can't be that specialized or uncivilized on the road, but would like some of the same performance. We lifted a UTV a couple years back and broke 4 axles and redid the CV joint twice in a year. The lift came off. Never had a lifted truck so don't know if I'm inviting the same by lifting.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions!
