Advice on putting together a lift kit

    I'm finally really looking into lifting my truck as the poor front end is sagging a lot after supporting a steel bumper for well over a year, and now with the added weight of a front diff, crawlbox, and transfer case, it's starting to look like it has a lowering kit. Not to mention it's going on 140k miles. I'm looking to get around 2.5" of lift in the front and "3 in the rear. This truck is my DD, so most of its miles are on the road. That being said, the road that leads from the main street out to my neighborhood is god-awful, along with some of the other washboard roads in this area. I do however like to get out on the trails, and even though I don't do anything extreme, I usually tend to break something just about every time I go out one way or another. I'm hoping to get some smoother handling on road and some stiffer handling doing the slow stuff off road. I'm hoping the 700lb springs will help with the slow stuff and the better shocks will help with softening the road ride. I was originally planning on cheaping out with 5100s up front and and the AP 3" leaf 5125 combo, but after looking at all of the options out there I'm probably looking at spending $2-2.5k. With plans to add skids, sliders, and a winch I need a heavier spring upfront. After reasoning my way out of 5100s for weight, OMEs for clunking, and 6112s for a lack of adjustability, I'm now looking at a more quality, long term solution.
    I'm now in between Toytec alumna 2.0s and King 2.5s with RRs. I really don't need remote reservoirs, but for an extra $150 on top of the Toytec's, the kings have extended travel, and a lot more oil. I know the kings are coated for rust prevention, but when looking at corrosion resistance issues they still seem to have some problems. The Toytecs on the other hand have an aluminum body, and I haven't seen any issues with corrosion since they've released their alumna line. They don't salt the roads here, but it does get really nasty, and I'm pretty worried about nice coil overs rusting out. The Kings definitely seem like better bang for the money, but that doesn't matter much if they get rusted out. Either way, I'll probably throw some Icon sleeves over them, but I'm mainly worried about corrosion. If anyone has experience living in snowy areas with either the alumnas or kings I'd love to hear about it.
    As for UCAs, being low maintenance and resistant to the elements is my number one concern. I really don't want to have to constantly replace ball joints because they're getting grimed up from road sand, dirt, and whatever else. I'm looking at the Camburgs with moog joints so that they'll be sealed, but I've heard that the adjustability on them can be hit or miss with lifts that sit around the 2.5-3" mark. Are there any other options that have sealed joints, or should uniballs not be a real issue with the elements?
    I'm pretty confident I'll be sticking with Wheeler's AP 3" leafs, but for the extra $100 I might as well get the fox bundle instead of the 5125s. I haven't heard anything bad about the AP leafs, if anything, it seems to be all praise. I'd like to hear from anyone that has them with a shell and steel bumper as to how they ride and where they sit. I don't have the aftermarket rear bumper yet, but I do plan on going HC down the line, so I want to make sure that these leafs will hold at about 3" with that extra couple hundred pounds. The expedition leafs seem to be way too heavy duty, as they're meant for expo rigs, but I've seen some info here that people run them without much weight and they're fine.
    On top of that I plan on some wheeler's bumps front and rear, but that should hold me over for a long time. The whole package would sit at about $2,250 with the alumnas and about $2400 with the kings. That's waiting on a %15 off sale from wheelers, plus the 10% off for a sign up (not including the alumnas of course). I'd appreciate any and all suggestions and opinions, especially if you have any piece of this setup, as this is a pretty big chunk of money and I want to make sure this stuff will last and perform well. Oh, and sorry for the essay, but I wanted to be thorough :D
