    Howdy,

I picked up a used Prinsu and the side rails are a bit faded, chipped and scratched. I haven’t installed yet and
would like to put a couple light touch up coats on side rails before installing.

Any advice on prep, paint choice would be appreciated.

    Thanks!!

Depends on how much elbow grease you want to put into it. A light sand, some primer, and black paint would do it.

Or, you can spend hours and hours grinding down to bare metal, sanding, sanding, more sanding, cleaning, priming, more priming, sanding, painting, more painting, and clear coating.

You could take them and have them re-powdercoated. They'd sand blast them bare and respray them for maybe $100-$150 (just guessing here). Then it'd look brand spanking new.
