Depends, If the person wants to fix it, they will have to get the same bedliner brand, same application process, and same color tint of the bedliner so it matches after they have the spot repaired.

Turn it in on your insurance. Get it fixed properly and sell the truck at max value.

Please for the love of God just leave it be, and go ahead and sell it. Any solution you mentioned just further decreases the value, all while costing you more money in the long run.

I'm just figuring getting it fixed to like-new condition will increase curb appeal when selling.

Don’t bedliner it. That’s a really half assed cover up that isn’t actually gonna hide anything and will just make it more of a pain for the buyer to fix.

if I were a prospective buyer I’d offer you less for a dented truck covered in bedliner than I would for the truck with an untouched dent.

Since you’re selling either fix it right or don’t touch it at all.

Generally speaking mods dont add value. But im not great at judging value on a car without inspecting it in person.

Bondo and bedliner isn't exactly like-new condition. Getting it fixed "properly" to like-new condition would realistically be an insurance claim for you. You'd need to consider the rise of your monthly premium over the span of 3-7 years, and its a number you really don't know, plus your deductible. Add in the repairs going on the vehicles record, verses being "clean". Youre probably better off selling as is, disclosing to the buyer the damage. Worst case, you buy a cheap set of pull of steps from a member here and mostly cover it up, still disclosing it to the buyer (but they'll agree its not as noticeable with steps/sliders)

Main takeaway, don't throw bedliner at a dent (unless you plan on keeping it). Thats just unneeded money spent, and will be much more of a hassle for someone to have the repair done in the future.

If you want max resale value, then go with the insurance and go from there. Then you can get good amount of money from buyer.

If you fix it yourself with cheap way to do, then you won't get top dollar from truck value unless you get insurance-paid repaired properly. If you want insurance to pay for the damage, then the rocker repair could take between 2 - 4 days so the paint will cure before handing the truck back to you.

Or sell it as it is... And buyer will convert it to full time 4x4 truck like truck racers do. Something like Baja, crawling, etc.

I'm going to leave it as is and drop the price since I've already bent the metal back and touched up the paint decently. A lot of people that have looked at it say its not even that noticeable
