I'll be mounting a new Pelfreybilt aluminum bumper and winch system on my '09 Tacoma soon. I realize this set-up would be relatively light compared to a steel bumper, but I want to be sure my front suspension is adequate to the task of providing additional support. My truck was purchased used with a Toytec 3" spacer lift kit installed. The ride is a bit bouncy so I planned to replace the shocks anyway. Question is, would you recommend I just invest in the Toytec 3" lift kit with Bilstein 5100 shocks all around, or keep the current 3" spacer set-up and just replace the shocks? Your time and attention to this matter is greatly appreciated.

    Kit Includes:
    • Height adjustable front Bilstein 5100 shocks
    • Spacer for correction of drivers side lean
    • Eibach/Toytec front coil springs 620lb spring rate
    • Front diff drop kit (included by default for a 4x4, we can remove for a 2WD vehicle and issue a $29 refund)
    • TAC-AL Toytec standard 2″ lift add-a-leafs with anti friction pads. This long style AAL offers a great ride and has anti-friction pads already installed. Fits standard 3 leaf springs and 4 leaf or TSB springs.
    Other rear options available:

    • 1 1/2″ blocks with U-bolts
    • 1″ blocks with U-bolts
    • Rear Bilstein 5100 shocks

    lose the spacers.

if you are going for that kit you outlined, spring for the rear 5100's, skip the diff drop because you don't need it, and do not do blocks.
