any advice on tinting factory windows? i'm on the fence as to pull the trigger & get them darkened. have it tenitively sch. for next week to get em done. then I look at the truck & say, nah, its fine the way it is, even tho I think the darker is better. I know this sounds trivial. any suggestions? I am getting a good price for the two rear sides & back for $150 from a rep. installer. thanx

I'm a graphic installer (15+ years and own my own business) and did a week training a couple years ago for tinting. It is a PITA to put on newer vehicles. They have double seals and if you don't get behind both it will peel the tint off when you roll your window down. The only guaranteed way is to take the glass out completely. Plus when you install you pretty much hose down the interior of the vehicle with soapy water. That's why I stick to flat glass.

Price is about right, but I would say NO, unless you plan on moving to Florida anytime soon. Tint is really only for protection of the interior from UV damage. It can be a liability if its too dark and/or you get into an accident.
