    7. Don't trust a politician of any stripe. They will tell you what the think you want to hear then vote with the money that they have taken. They do not represent you. They do not represent the country. They represent themselves and their financial backers. Why else would anyone running for president spend close to a billion dollars on a job that only pays $400k?

    7a. Don't be an extremist. It is alright to lean one way or the other on issues life is full of bumps and half the fun is seeing how far we can get off the ground. By leaning too far in one direction you lose balance and you land up in the gutter. You wouldn't drive a vehicle that leans too far to one side or the other so why would you want your life to be that far out of line.
