Need some advice. I have had a 1st generation taco but had to get rid of it. It was the best vehicle I've had and was very disappointed when I had to get rid of it.

I am now in a position to get a 2nd generation taco but am unsure what I should get with the budget I have.

The way it looks now I can either afford an 05 Taco db TRD with over 100,000km/60,000m on it...or a 06 Taco dc base model with 70,000km/42,000m.

It will be a commuter vehicle I need for work and will be rarely taken off road. However on the other side the TRD looks amazing and doesn't compare to the base.

What do you think? and What exaclty am I missing out on If decide to go with the base?

    Thanks for your help. Cheers.

If you're not planning on doing much offroading you'll be fine with a TRD. Big time modifications make TRD a waste of money. If you're gonna haul people, go dbl cab... if you're gonna haul stuff... get the Long bed.... both togther like mine rack the price up a bit.

Get the TRD DC, More space you'll need sooner or later!

    Brain about covered it.
I have a base model Truck, I think it is fine. I wheel it whenever time permits, it is also my daily driver and when clean she gets tons of compliments.
