I have seen that for relocation plates. I have also seen shims with just a hole.

I don't think it's a reflection on quality. If you think you need this shim just get new pins and cut to length.

where do you get the new longer centering pins from with the extended head????
everyone talks of them but no one knows......
its not a matter of longer centering pins that u can cut its the round head on the oppisite side thats needs to be like 3/4 " lomger
am i the only one who has these problems
seems to be llots of guessing going on by folks on here.....
i am sure i can not be the only person who has gone throught this.......

Go to a good parts store or a suspension shop. You'll have to cut them to length.

    Here is 4wp's line up...

see you keep saying cut them to length but we are not talking about the top of the centering pin under the bumpstop........its the bottom side that centers into the axle slot on the axle that is the problem......it is just a rounded end like a nub

Those shims have a pretty big square hole in the middle. If you position the head of the pin in the front part of that shim hole you should have just a little bit of the pin head protruding all the way through the shim. It's not much, maybe a 16th of an inch, just enough to catch the hole in the mounting bracket. You'll know you got it when it pops into place, like you described in one of your prior posts. Also, I think the head of the toytech pin is just slightly thicker than that of the stock pin.

You can also buy shims that you stick the pin through, and bolt up with the spring pack, effectively making it part of the spring pack. But I didn't know this when I did mine, or I would have probably used them instead.

Was this issue ever resolved? I am thinking about installing this shim as well. Do you have to unbolt the entire leaf pack to install the shim? Does anyone have intructions on how to do this? I am not a mechanic so I am if this is something I can so myself in my driveway.
    Thanks

I put the 3 Degree shims in from ToyTec.. didn't need long bolts or anything.. the Head of it is sitting in position barely.. but enough to function. Have had them on now for a while, and things seem to be working great. It's easy to do, and helps with and Driveline Vibes you might be encountering.
