Advise to anyone getting in channel vent visors...

the autoanything site says the egrs are not available for the 2010 Tacoma

"This product is not available for the 2010 Toyota Tacoma (Change Vehicle) at this time"

They look fine on the access cab with just the fronts. I gotta say I was NOT happy with the weathertechs. They wore through the weatherstripping in the front corner of both doors and on hot days they expanded and made the window bind pretty bad.

I eventually tried trimming them and think i trimmed a little too much so I just gave up and threw them in a corner of my basement. Maybe I'll give the EGR's a try

I just put some on made by Wade - cheapest in-channel visors on eBay- they fit almost too snug as it seems to stress the window motor getting it all the way closed. Maybe that will improve over time, but they are very low profile and nice and quiet. I am pleasantly surprised for $47 !

Thats a good price. Those are actually the Westin In-Channels made by Wade. They're on autoanything.com aswell, but $70 on there. Haven't seen them in person but the reviews on autoanything were good. They'll definitely loosen up. All the in-channels create added force at first, but the stripping eventually molds and flattens to their shape, thats how it gets a good seal.

I know weathertech makes alot of great products, but yea, the contact with the weatherstrip is pretty harsh for this truck in particular to the point where, for me, they wore right into them in no time.

With the rear windows on pretty much any in-channel, I've heard its always a good idea to put some better tape on them, because the rears are held in by the tape when the window is down, unlike the fronts which are pryed in. Don't want them blowing away (see above)

put external vent shades on mine.no noise, fit perfect,looks good.i have heard in channel visors make noise and will not fit correctly.

^ ehh my weather tech rear flew off ( should put more adhesive tape on it ) so i just got all new egr's. DO NOT LIKE. Am gonna have to order new rears from weathertech.

I had in-channel visors on a jeep ( bite my tongue ) liberty. I live on a beach and the sand got it there and scratched the tops of the windows over time. I'll stick with the above ground type.
