2006’ Sport. Grey cloth interior. My drivers side visor has dropped little by little in the last year. It’s now at the point where I can’t deal with it in my field of vision. I was on here several months ago checking threads snd someone suggested using a zip tie in the slot to keep it from dropping. Sounded like a great hack, I tried but couldn’t get the zip tie to slide in. Gave up and have dealt with it. Anybody know a solution to this? There’s no tightening screw adjustment to prevent it from dropping down. I guess I’ll be buying a new visor if there’s not an easy fix. Crazy that Toyota didn’t make a tightening screw adjustment for this problem.

    Is Velcro an option?
I would be for me. But I’m a hack, I don’t care. :notsure:

Sorry guys, I didn’t abandon this thread. This past week has been way hectic.

Thanks for the replies. The thread Shaeff posted looks promising. Some good info in there I’ll have to dig in.

Life has a funny way of doing that. Same happens on my end, I'll disappear off the internet for weeks or months at a time. Good luck with it, I have to do the same to mine. They sag and it's annoying.

Well, shortly after I started this thread the visor gave up the ghost and completely flopped down. A couple days dealing with it like that I got so frustrated I ripped the visor off the truck as I couldn’t drive safely with it in my face. I’m usually more patient with things but I had had it. So here I was with no visor. Time for a new one, the Toyota dealer wanted $160 if I remember correctly. Yes, $160 for one Sun visor. I ordered one but didn’t pay for it. It came in but I couldn’t bring myself to pay that much.

I continued driving without one for a couple more weeks. I thought I had did a Google search for other options earlier and came up empty. Maybe not because one night I just Googled and came up with a brand new genuine Toyota Tacoma visor in grey for $32 off Amazon. I ordered it and as I waited the three days all I could think of was that it’s got to be an aftermarket piece of crap. I was wrong, same exact one as my original. Only difference is the new one is a cloth where my original is felt feeling, same shade of grey. So time will tell if anyone that rides in my truck will notice the difference between the drivers side and passenger side original. Even so if someone does I’m totally happy spending a fraction of what Toyota wanted.

Is anyone familiar with the Shee-Mar visors from Rock Auto?

At $166 shipped for both sides I would hope they are as good as stock.
