Pretty sure my girl is getting me a CAI for Christmas, trying to decide which one. I like the idea of the dry filter and the look of the AEM. Anyone have this intake? Also, anyone deal with warranty issues after installing an aftermarket CAI? I know the TRD intake is available and won't void warranty, but $100 dollars more for the TRD logo doesn't seem rational. Any help is appreciated.

No intake voids warranty unless it causes damage. Look at AFE Stage 2 Si. The Volant is nice but can cause your truck to run rich. AFE, TRD, URD and Volant are the only cold air intakes.

How come the AFE's Iv'e seen are not sealed units? My friend just got one for his Tundra and the whole bottom is open. It sits right above the exhaust manifold. Hardly any cold air there!

It has to be their Stage 2 Si intake. They do make K&N style intakes with heat shields that cost less.
