    I think it is based on the size of the pipe. If you have a 2 1/2" pipe then you need the 2525XL. If you have a 3" pipe then you need the 3030XL. The 2 1/2" pipe should be the stock size, but some have 3" catbacks put on and want to change the muffler. But you should definitely shoot them an email. Jordan is a good guy and he will get back to you asap with any of your questions. That what he does. Believe me you are not wasting anyones time.

    The 2525 is out of stock, not the recommended 2525XL.

    I don't have any dyno sheets to prove this, but the HP gains are noticeable especially in the mid to high end of the power band. Low end is lost a little, but from 70-90 mph this is where this exhaust shines. Basically highway passing power which what I use my Tacoma for 98% of the time.

    I ordered my aero muffler 2 weeks ago. I got it put on last monday. It sounds great and a sweet price. $144 delivered it comes with a new tip and they threw in a logo jacket too. I paid $75 at a local muffler shop to install the muffler and the tip. Thanx for the discount code :)

    Just an FYI, our stock exhaust piping is 2.25" so if someone gets this, they would just need to get the pipe that closes the gap flared to fit over the 2.5" muffler.

    I don't know about "recommended"... the only difference between the 2525xl and the regular 2525 is the additional 15" resonator made by Aero that comes with it. Whether or not to get the XL or not is strictly end user preference.

    I have essentially run both. I started out with just the AT 2525. I was getting some rasp in the 2300-3000 RPM range that doesn't bother most, but it bothered me enough to change it (I despise rasp). I put on a resonator. Not the one Aero sells, but I put one on and have the exact same effect. If anyone is curious, I have links in my sig to a couple of recent videos. My channel contains resonated as well as non resonated videos for all those interested.

    I checked out your vids, thanks a ton for making them. Helped out quite a bit. One Q tho. In your "hard acceleration" video, are you running the resonator also? Are the only vids with the resonators labeled as w/resonator? (would answer my Q if so, lol)
    Gonna pull the plug on one, but I really like the louder/deeper sound over the quiet one.

    Anything that is in cab on my videos is WITHOUT the resonator. I only have 2 videos with the resonator, and they are the ones in my sig. It's easier if you check out my posting dates as well, the two newest ones are resonated, everything else is without the resonator.

    And yes, I tried to make sure that the ones that do have the resonator are marked as such. Any other questions, feel free to ask.

    @Memario1214
    Did you notice any significant loss of volume when adding in the resonator?
    I've been watching the two vids of ur drive bys back to back (non resonated and resonated) and its tough to tell because the drive bys are in a different direction, but the resonated one sounds deeper/louder.
    I have a dynomax super turbo in now, but its a little too mellow for my taste.(not sure if you have heard a truck in person with this muffler to compare)

    Thanks in advance... I've been stuck on this decision for quite some time on whether or not to get the resonated version

    I could always get more videos too of my current if someone wanted them, but I still have snow on the ground here so nothing can be done for a while.

    Did it lose loudness/volume? Yes. Is it noticeable? Hardly. When I get on it, people are looking because it is damn loud, no doubt about that. The most major difference I have found with the resonator vs. non-resonated is in the changes in sound. Without the resonator, the sound would be really deep, spike when it hit the magic 2300-3000 RPM, and then go back deeper. With the resonator, these spikes in pitch are not as pronounced. The other thing, now that I am resonated I can have a conversation with whomever is in the back seat of my pickup when I am driving down the road. I used to get enough drone while cruising that people in the back seat would have to lean up to hear conversations. That was my final straw to get the resonator, convenience. I am very happy with my choice to put a resonator on, as I still draw attention from everywhere, yet I can carry a conversation and not be a complete nuisance in the mountains.

    As far as the Dynomax ST, I have not heard one in person. I have heard plenty of clips (but they never do an exhaust justice). As far as I am concerned, the Aero Turbine, Wicked Flows, and Dynomax ST are the best mufflers for our trucks. They have a straight through design and are really meant to open up an exhaust. Hope I answered most of your Q's...
