I had decided on this muffler before coming across this thread. Mainly due to the thread by memario1214, which is here.

But with the company's website being down I am a bit concerned. I have not yet found anything via google indicating anything is amiss with the company, but it still could indicate a problem.

What I am curious about is a comment made bymemario1214. He commented that once he got supercharged he was moving up to 3" pipes, thus the AT3030XL perhaps? Comment was here.

I am supercharged, stock pipes atm, and I believe even the TRD exhaust is still the same size as current stock, or maybe 2.5? Stock is 2.25?

Regardless, will 3" pipes get more out of the supercharger, and won't it have to be reflashed to accomodate the change?

    Thanks.

I can't help ya ^^ but as for the exhaust, why don't ya try ebay? That's where I got mine.

I mean, you could have just asked me yourself haha . Just kidding, I'll see what I can do here to answer your questions. My comment that stated that I will move up to 3" piping when I get boosted still holds true, but it is not quite as important as it sounds. Due to the additional pressures that the boost makes, the larger exhaust piping allows the gases to exit the vehicle faster. Too big of a pipe, and you won't get the pressure out that you need. Too small of a pipe, and your back pressure will be through the roof. With just the S/C, I don't think that the bump up to 3" is "necessary" unless you decide to go with a smaller pulley and some wild tuning.

The difference will be in the overall band. You may lose a little bit down low due to the 3" exhaust. What you lose down low you will gain when you are under boost because the exhaust gases are allowed to flow out freely. Boost creates a shit ton of pressure... To be honest though, the exhaust size is more important in a turbo setup. You can cut out and put in a 2525 and I think that you will be happy. If you feel the need to run more boost at some point, I would suggest maybe looking into exhaust a little larger.

And to answer your final question... You might get another 5-10 horse above 3800RPM if you bump up to 3" pipe and a AT3030. Hope I answered everything. If not, just let me know.

Thats exactly what I was looking to hear. I am not going to mess with the pulley or the fuel pump at this time. I will stick with the Aero Turbine AT2525XL Mufflers.

I was going to PM you, but decided the info you have put out has been damn helpful in helping me spend my hard earned cash ;D I would make it easy for others to get at your input.

Getting my pics and vid together to start a build page, hope as things progress I get more hands on with my mods.

Still not sure whats up with the Aero homepage.

Yeah no worries, glad to help.

I really need to get around to putting together a build page too... Uhg, just can't get the motivation to do it.

And aero's website has always kind of been on the fritz. The mufflers are still actively being sold though, so I can only imagine that they are still being produced and that everything is hunky dory...

They have aero exhausts at OurDealsRock.net here:
    http://www.ourdealsrock.net/aeroexhaust.aspx#.TmmUKCp5mc0
And if you type AERO in the coupon code at the check out it's 20% off.
I was going to get the 2525xl from them for $138, but called a few local muffler shops and one had a local supplier that could get it the next day. They only charged me $140 for it and $75 for install. So I didn't have to wait for it to be shipped.

To funny Ink Junky, google is a novel approach, never occured to me.:D

Google Pontiac and Saturn and you will see plenty of those for sale too.

I am sold on the muffler and will look local first, good info JSpoon.

Being new to any company that claims a warranty, it bodes well for them to have contact information available for questions. Its easy to keep a simple website up for that alone. But I will just get it local, and let them deal with it.

Wife says I am to old for a cool sounding muffler...:(
