    Update - 2525XT arrived yesterday and I have an appointment to have it installed this Tuesday.

    And I must say - for something as simple as a 'muffler' - what a gorgeous piece of craftsmanship they are.

    It's kind of a shame to hide such a pretty thing under the vehicle.

    I was asked to post these pics. For those of you with automatics you may get some pretty annoying droning as I did. My solution was to change the resonance of the exhaust by chopping it a bit. It did the trick for me. I put my chrome tip back on for shits a giggles ;)

    Okay, I'm calling this the "Goldilocks Exhaust Mod" for the Aero Turbine 2525Xt.

    I would never have guessed that trimming off 2 1/2 feet of exhaust tube would make such an amazing difference. Like others, I was getting an in-cab drone at certain rpm's. Trimming the exhaust on the back side of the rear axle absolutely eliminates the drone. And the Goldilocks analogy is that it's "just right".

    Thank you sleeper8406 for this suggestion.

    I didn't like the idea of chopping away on my precious truck either. Started by taking a bravery pill and making sure that both my nuts were hanging low before I pulled the trigger on my sawzall.

    Anyway, if you're in Bozeman - it's probably too stinkin' cold outside to be fooling around under your truck.

    Ah hell I'm not afraid of hacking at my truck at all... Might as well try it even though I really don't have much drone. I've had damn near every other configuration possible so far :rolleyes:

    And I am having surgery next week and have a heated garage at home. I'll have plenty of time to work on the taco once I start to heal up :cool:
