So, using the record function, can your product record what happens over a period when I leave my vehicle with service personnel (dealer, etc)? This is typically what "Valet" mode is for - and this mode is usually "protected" from being accessed or disabled as well...

    Todd,

Any luck on figuring out the codes so the trans temp will work in 05/06 model Tacoma's?

Did you get to try the software on a Tacoma or just the Tundra?

    Thanks for any updates....

No, the record function works like this: once selected the gauge will record the data being displayed for about 1 minute once the throttle position exceeds 50%. The idea is to automatically start recording during hard acceleration so that you don't have to watch the gauges when you should be watching the road. Plus, you can then more carefully analyze the data point by point. Since the CAN bus gauge updates 10+ times per second, you will get very good resolution and a significant number of data points. After the run, you can go into playback mode and review all of the information.

Was back at the dealer today and they let us plug our equipment into a 2006 Tundra which has the same trans temp issue as the 2005/6 Tacoma. We think we got that figured out, will try it on same truck later today hopefully. I'm also keeping my fingers crossed that this solves or at least clues us in on the 2009/10 trans issue as well.

Good news! Todd has just mailed me out an Interceptor gauge that has some new codes in it to read trans temps

We are crossing our fingers and toes in hopes it will read the trans temps in my 05 Tacoma Pre-Runner

The guys at Aeroforce have been working hard to resolve the trans temp issues in the 05-06 Tacoma's

    And also the 09-10 Tacoma's

I will let you guys know how it goes after the test gauge arrives:)

after trying out the test gauge that Todd send out to me.. Sad to announce no luck

Still won't read the trans temps in my 05 Tacoma Pre-Runner

When I scroll to Trans Temp1 it reads numbers from the parameter before it

Examnple: KNCK FB -4.0 Trans Temp1 -4.0 and so on
