    okidokie... I've got an '09 Timberland Mica Taco - no chrome anywhere... Given that, what's your thoughts on nerf bar material? Chrome or Black?

    Black. I have a white Taco and would only put black ones on it. I'd like sliders but think they would be stupid on a Prerunner.

    Mine is white as well, and if you are going to have them, get black.

    I say just think of future mods first.:rolleyes: If you upgrade to new wheels, are you going to get chrome, polished, black, etc...? Then just go from there. Thats what I did.;)

    I like them, and find them very useful.
    ex - kicking off the snow before getting in
    the older and younger folk use them to get in
    prevents door dings from car door and shopping carts

    I dont rock crawl, so i dont need sliders

    Black, definately black.

    But remember, black nerf bars are usually painted or powder coated steel, and are more likely to rust as the finish gets damaged from stones being kicked up. Most "chrome" bars are polished stainless steel, and more resistant to rust.
