AFE air filters

I have a 2018, V-6, auto transmission, 102,000 miles. Would it be worth it to install an A-FE high flow intake? Also...advice on more efficient muffler systems. Currently have the factory stock muffler system (one tail pipe). Would double pipes be worth it? Not looking for "big sound", looking for more performance. Thanks.

 

Get a tune first which makes the Biggest change in the truck.
TRD exhaust has no drone. HPS silicone intake tube.

 

Air intakes and mufflers won't improve performance. There is plenty of dyno research to back this up. Save your money.

unless you want more noise, then add a tube up front and Floriduhman dual tubes out back. But if you do,,, make him proud, make it LOUD, let your hair fly in the wind!

 

The equation is simple; Mo cylinders = Mo power! If you're going to waste money for performance gains, waste it on a tune I guess.

 

Too much dirt gets past the AFE filter

 

LS swap is the best option.

 

I’ve been running an AFE dry filter for years now and not a speck of dirt has gotten past it. I check the MAS every time I clean the filter and there’s never been any dirt down stream of the filter.
