I'm at about 11k after 7 months. Still happy. Still love it. Still gets lots of attention and compliments. Still makes me smile when I walk in the garage to hop in. Still makes me turn around to look at it when I'm walking away.

    It's the one.

All BS aside, I love my truck. This is my first Tacoma and I'm glad I bought it. I didn't even know there was a 3rd gen Tacoma until the end of 2016, when my wife started shopping for Highlanders. I guess I have her to thank for getting me to a Toyota dealer. She bought her Highlander in February and I bought the Taco in March. I plan on keeping it until it dies.

I did not need a new truck, my 2004 Tundra had 73k miles and was in almost perfect condition. I fell in love with the 3rd generation Taco and that was all she wrote. I resisted for a while but it was meant to be. I traded in my Tundra and never looked back!

After 12k miles and 8 months. I'm still in love with mine. No auto trans issues, no leaking rear differential, no CPS failures, and no howling differential.
Differential is rusty but she is bone dry.

I look back at her when I park her at the gym, at work, at the grocery store, and at the mall.

I've taken her on some dirt trails and she drives like a dream. Hoping to enjoy the next 188k miles with her.

My dealer had me in the next day, there was no leak. They checked torque spec and sent me on my way.

I'm about to replace the whole pumpkin anyway...:spy:

    20K miles, 8 months on my 2017 DCSB 4X4 SR5

And I FREAKIN love the truck. I had a Chevy Z71 for 10 years, so it's not my first truck rodeo. The Tacoma definitely is more comfortable, quieter, hell of a lot better gas mileage, more capable off road, and looks better than what I had.

12k miles and love my Taco! In 40 years of car/truck ownership, I've had probably half a dozen trucks and this is by far my favorite so far!

Why do people post threads like this and act like its a zero sum game? People have had excellent experiences. People have had some pretty shitty experiences.

There are absolutely problems with the truck. There are some people that either 1. Dont have them 2. Dont notice them 3. Dont care about them. Then there are those that have legitimate issues. Unfortunately those folks get lumped in with the people complaining about bullshit (comparing taco brakes to BMW brakes comes to mind), and those people will never be happy no matter what.

I think most folks sit somewhere in between. I found this place after googling about my issues. This truck has so much potential. I'm a diff howl fix away from truly enjoying my truck (thanks to the shiftsense pro).

His OR was fixed under warranty work, no need to wait for recall protocol for resolution.
