Because a few people, you included, post prolifically about your legitimate issues. By doing that, it falsely changes the narrative from this being a good truck with a few problems to a terrible truck that should be banned from the road. People come here to do research, read your 100 posts about a howling rear end and miss the few posts from people with zero problems that truly enjoy their trucks. That's why this thread exists. You and a half dozen others keep all the trouble threads at the top of the page. Yes, problem threads need to be here and exist. No, there shouldn't be people posting 5X/daily saying nothing that they didn't say yesterday. I'm truly sorry your truck has issues. I hope they get resolved and I'll be the first one to post an attaboy when I read A) your truck is fixed or B) you got rid of it. Good luck but quit skewing the data. The truth is a vast majority of owners have no problems.
Yes, 228K will get a letter to get their rear diffs checked for example. That does not mean 228K have issues as insinuated in other threads. I would be surprised if it is more than a few percentage points of people that have that particular issue, but Toyota does not know so they have to bring them all in for examination. That's the way it works. Again, good luck and, while I hope you get it fixed, I will keep enjoying mine.

This is my first Tacoma (will not be my last), and first Toyota for that matter. I have had mine for 2 weeks, and have about 500 or so miles on it, and I am very pleased with my 2017 TRD OR DCSB. Coming from full size pickups I was not sure what to expect, but I couldn't be happier. Only wish that I had looked into Toyota, and specifically the Tacoma earlier than I did.

I have either lifted or leveled all of my previous pickups prior to this one. Unfortunately I can see this site (Tacoma World) costing me a lot of money in mods, as it appears that the Tacoma is like a Jeep Wrangler when it comes to mods. A lot of aftermarket items and choices out there.

I am looking forward to seeing what others have done to their Tacomas, and learning as much about this vehicle as possible from the knowledge of this forum.

Good to hear some more positive stories in the 3rd gen forum:thumbsup:. I am really enjoying mine as well. Just got back from another road trip and I love the versatility of this vehicle it goes from the road to the store to pick up a play set for the back yard to the mall(crawlin):spy: to the dump and trails with no fuss. :mudding:I really like this truck.

I love mine too! There are a few things I need to do to make it what I want, but that is part of the fun for me.
You are fortunate your woman turned you on to the Taco. She sounds like a keeper...

Hey cbd760, Sweet looking 2017. I am looking on trading my 2010 in for a new one. Is that a roof rack on yours? Is that aftermarket?

...and another post with the exact same content as hundreds of your other posts. In a thread that has no bearing on your issues. Good job man. Way to go.

    This ^^^ And I'll add my $.02.

In my opinion those few that have less than ideal trucks are just flogging a dead horse. They've posted their discontent and the issues which have plagued their vehicles which is justified. In continually bitching about it has resolved nothing and these unfortunate few are giving this forum a bad name, turning new members off and pushing people away. I haven't been around this forum long but I'm becoming bored of the same childish whining and crying. Reminds me of a fat kid that's had his ice cream taken away.

Bottom line (and it's been said a thousand times) if you're not happy with the truck, stop being a little bitch and do something about it. I hear the Ridgeline is a suitable replacement vehicle.

    Stock and staying that way
I'm at 7 months and 10k miles, and am very satisfied with my truck.

I don't want to derail this thread much further, but you are acting like me and a handful of folks are skewing the data. There is a poll, on this forum filled with fanboys, that puts the diff howl right around 50%. It's hardly just me, smitty and whoever else you'd like to lump in there "falsely changing" a "narrative".

18 months of ownership. 11k miles. Aside from a few TSB's, the truck is rock solid. I do admit Toyota in the beginning of the 3rd gen launch, sucked balls regarding quality control.. But hell, it happens to all vehicle manufacturers period. Great thread.

Yeah, but they don't post 100 times with the same tired post. We know your diff howls. As a matter of fact you have posted that three times in this thread alone! We all know! Really!
