    Hey Everyone,

I recently installed a Bilstein 2" lift kit with Toytech AALs. The install went pretty smoothly however I noticed afterwards that the passenger side is slightly higher than the driver side. Taking measurements it looks like it is around 1 inch higher and the shock length on the passenger side also having an additional ~1 inches in length compared to the driver side (see pic). The install was done on jack stands each corner done independently. I've inspected everything and nothing seems out of place or incorrect. Even the front end doesn't look even. Anyone have any idea what I may have done wrong or what could cause this??

Taco lean. You got a 1/4" spacer on the front driver's side? That will usually help offset the taco lean.

The actual shock length is 1" longer? is that measured in a free state?

The 1/4 inch spacer should fix the lean. Your rear may still sag a little to the driver side but the front should pretty much be even. A couple different vendors sell the 1/4 spacer.

I agree. Taco Lean. If they were 5100's did you have the preload slips in the same spots????

The 1" extra length was measured while on the truck not in a free state... They are 5100s. If by pre load slips you're referring to the different ride hights for the circlips yes I double checked them and they match. The rear 5100s aren't adjustable right?

Correct. The rears should not be adjustable.

You think taco lean would affect the rear that much? Would it be a bad idea to reduce the adjustable ride height down one on the passenger side front? Also the spaces you guys are talking about, are those just for the front?

It could possibly. They could settle a little as well.

Double check your front suspension measurements. A lower rear driver side could mean a higher front passenger side.

If everything is kosher and the rear suspension isnt blown and have "settled" in, it could be rear taco lean. Toytec sells a part to remedy that.

Don’t forget there approximately 120lbs of gas on the drivers side also when the tank is full. 20 gallon tank.

Thanks for the response & link. I waited a couple days for any settling to happen and retook measurements and got the below results

    Front Driver: 36 3/4"
    Front Passenger: 37 1/4"
    Delta: 1/2"

    Rear Driver: 38 1/4"
    Rear Passenger:38 3/8"
    Delta: 1/8"

So I think I'll try the front spacer first and go from there.

You’re probably experiencing driver side lean like everyone has posted. Also your measurements should be from the center of the wheel hub to the edge of the fender to be accurate. Your stock measurements are 21 in the front and 22 in the rear. Lifted maybe around 23 up front and 23.5 ish in the rear. Let me know if you need help I’m Anthony over at Toyteclifts
