After a Tacoma is built in Guanajuato, how many more weeks before it arrives at USA dealers?

If a buyer knows the build date of a Tacoma they put a deposit on (August 16 in my case) how many more weeks elapses before it arrives at USA dealers (west coast dealers in my case)?

 

I wouldn't hold your breath, OP. It seems that processes are quite slow in general, but not to worry it will all be worth it in the end!

 

You never know until your dealer tells you that your new truck is delivered.

Keep this in mind, that things could go wrong such as hauler could get into accident (or roll over due storm.). In that case, dealer tells you what's going on. And you will probably get other tacoma from somewhere else based on your options.

Just sit tight and wait for a call from dealer.

 

If Toyota is like every single large international company in the world, there is a variable shipping schedule, which is influenced by time, weather, storage, shippers,.etc. So, the time is variable by probably two-three weeks.
Could be a week, could be a month.
The reason that shipping is variable is because flexibility is needed to keep products flowing out the door as there are ebbs and flows in every part of the shipping process.

 

Date of manufacture = 07/22
Arrived at dealer(Pensacola FL) = 9 Aug 22

 

Same plant in Mex, build date on 5/13 . in transit on 5/14, arrived at dealer Danbury,Ct . 6/21

 

When i placed my ORDER (see who that annoys), my salesman kept me up to date on changes associated with my vin number. He knew when it was finished, shipped and the eta to the dealership. So, if you have a good salesman, youll be informed. Either way, i didnt pester the guy.
Mine took less than 2 months order to delivery.

 

Mine was ordered end of March 2021, promised early May, delivered to dealer early June 2021. That was last year, but I'm not sure all that much has changed. Definitely worth the wait.

I have had numerous next day Amazon shipments take 2-3 days (I know poor poor me) and recently a couple other site's orders that were scheduled to take much longer (7-9 days), show up in 48 hours. Same randomness at work in our warehouse.

 

I put the down payment on my truck in April, it has a manufacture date in June, delivered end of August.

 

Depends on the transport means that are used. If you're in the northeastern U.S., the Guanajuato trucks generally get shipped on a dedicated car carrier (ship) from the port of Vera Cruz to the port of Newark, N.J.

Doing a little detective work, I was able to track mine in real time. (There are web sites that track all maritime traffic. Narrow your search to car carriers that leave Vera Cruz within a window of 1-2 weeks after your build date.)

Total shipping time should be about a month.

2nd, where you at?
3rd, no way to tell....some guys have had theirs built but held for diff reasons-part shortage, inspection, ect....and some stuff is added in the US
4th, stay off TW, you will get more ants in your pants and make it worse

I am sure it depends on exactly what you ordered and where you are located. I placed my order in February. From the supposed build date to deliery was approximately 7 weeks to southeastern Pennsylvania. Mine was pretty much a plain jane SR5 double cab shortbed 4x4 V6 auto, nothing special or difficult to get.

 

July 28 I ordered, from the Sacramento, Calif. area, a plain Jane SR 2WD 4 cylinder double cab model 7186. Build date was Aug. 16 VIN 3TYAX5GN4NT064260

 

As for shipment and arrival at a NorthEast dealer, as someone else has said, approximately 1 month after being built.
Tougher to say on the West Coast. You can possibly infer based on those who have determined their approx build date (when the permanent VIN became available) and when people indicated their dealership had it on their lot, using information from @Rod03.

 

white? you couldnt find that model locally? there is a websiite you can run the vin for status but I dont know it......anybody?
if its got a vin its getting closer, I will guess and say a month from birth so be getting that down payment out of your mattress ready

Gonna throw this in here just to be a dick. Mine was built in San Antonio and on the lot in ABQ in less than a week, which is just a 1000 mile drive from my house.
