But nvnv was helpful? get rid of the lift and get a reasonable one and problem solved.
Are you really surprised a dealer wants nothing to do with it? You put a 6" lift on the truck...dealers never want anything modified. They get paid by the job, working on a vehicle thats different from factory spec makes it more time consuming and they don't get different allowance in time for it. Besides, they probably know the can of worms that type of lift can be.
This is why all the 6 inch lift threads on here get so much hate. It causes so many problems and for what? To lose wheel travel, get a shitty ride, and be labeled a mall crawler.

I'm not trying to be a dick, but each time a 6" lift thread shows up the OP gets all offended that everyone goes against it...this is one of the reasons why. Trying to save you the headache and money that these ridiculous lifts cause.

Honestly dude now that you know its the VSC that needs work, all I can say is good luck finding a dealer willing to do it.

My dealer did the VSC reset on my truck for free , post lift

It doesn't "need work" , the system needs to be reset

did you witness them kill someone or something?
Jesus just getting the dealer to perform the transmission TSB for me is like pulling teeth.
4 of them so far have said no that there's nothing available even after I provided them with the TSB number. Still no because 'can't replicate problem' but wont agree to a ride along.

I took in the pdf file in the thread linked earlier and asked them to reset the system because I had complained about it previously and they couldn't replicate it the last time I was in there . They also aligned my truck post lift with the LR UCAs

    you're lucky dude.
The only dealer I haven't gone to is the one I got the truck from since they're farther. tried all the local dealers and they're all being pricks about it.

This thread makes me laugh in so many ways. Nothing to do with the type or brand of lift the owner decided to go with but the answers and responses that he received. I was talking with a vendor the other day who contemplated being a site sponsor on Tacomaworld.com but after reading a couple of threads similar to this he decided against it. His response pretty much summed up this thread: 50% Of the members are willing or trying to help, the other 50% contribute absolutely nothing. And of those 50% , about 25% are giving incorrect information about the type of product.

yep used a TSB number from another canadian member who had it performed.
After they finally looked it up and saw it was available for mine said they can only do it if they replicate the problem which is a delayed shift from R to D

Well , that part is true , they won't perform a TSB just because you ask them to unless you are willing to pay , its not a recall
