If I drop bracket lift is engineered correctly, the geometry of the suspension, CV shaft angles and all other factors involving alignment should fall back into factory spec except for the drive shaft angle or transfer case angles. When you're putting a spacer for lift on the front or if you are using a new shock with longer spring or with the top-of-the-line King coil overs, all you are doing is increasing the distance between the upper strut mount and the bottom mount on the lower A-arm. Lifting this way will completely change the original geometry of the factory suspension and the only way to bring it back in to spec is by using adjustable upper control arms (LR) or corrected upper arms (Icon or Camburg)

Which is fine...but they won't do a ride along with me where I can show them exactly when I get the delay change.
I'm just going to bring it back to the dealer I got it from when I get a chance. Already called them they said not a problem. Just an hour drive there so need to find time when I can make it.

I deal with lifting these trucks so this will be good info to know! By the way love the lifted truck and why did you settle on a 6"??
I have a 6" suspension and a 3" body and i would rather have a nice 12" lift kit but my truck is to old and i love it so its moot for me!
12" ain't cheap but its so sick! I wonder if you can fit 40" tires on it??

OME BP-51 , or possibly Bilstein 5100, and a OME spring, but I appreciate your concern for my truck and myself

Had the same issue on this
IMG_0756.jpg What we did was hook my traction control switch up so each time I start the truck it's off. Whenever I would make a left or right turns ABS would engage the times traction control whenever I would make a left or right turns ABS would engage the times traction control would engage at times I would lose power to my truck. No longer now it's fixed I love driving my truck

VSC needs recalibrated, even my 11 and 15 did this with a 3'' lift on exit ramps, no biggy. Good luck with dealer.

    The recalibration doesn't always work

Cool, but what he is describing and what I and others HAVE experienced and HAD done to fix it was VSC recalibration. Should start there.

And things haven't changed in almost two decades. When those 6" drop bracket lifts first became available for the 1st gens, everybody started having issues right away...and back then tacomas did not have any of that electronic traction control stuff.

My dealer told me that when I turn one wheel is reading that it's traveling faster than the other and that's what's setting it off.... who the he'll knows

    When it comes to ABS
, a lift is not predjudice, whether it's coilovers, spacers or drop brackets . In order to troubleshoot you're not gonna take off the lift, but put on a factory set of tires, because if wheel speed is the culprit, larger diameter tires may throw off any percentages that are factory set. I wonder if speedo recalibration would help

I had VSS issues with just adding 885's. Now that I'm at 4 1/2" of lift, the VSS has completely turned off, thank god, it was awful. ABS still works so I'm good.

The only issue with drop bracket lifts is you have to cut the cross-member, which I avoided. Granted I've thrown away or heavily modified almost every part of my RC lift, but I have great Ramp Break Over, and excellent down travel, and up-travel, and the truck drives and handles awesome. My hood height with lift and 35's is the same as a new F150.

It's dropped down a bit since this pic due to the heavy ass 3/16" custom Skid Plates.

The more I'm learning it is deffinetly a wheel speed issue when I go to turn one wheel is going slower than the other I called a recalibration shop and they said they can't do it for over sized tires.... I'm also wondering if when installing lift if the sensor was damaged ughhhh this is a pain
