Well, you might need to go back and dig close to 20 years worth of old threads on other toyota forums on the subject. Start by searching Trail Master, Fabtech and Procomp "beer can" drop bracket lifts. That alone will keep you busy reading for a while. Tacoma owners back in the day hated those kits with passion...but that's all that was available.

Drop brackets are not bad for driving on the street. The issues come when you start wheeling more seriously; cause you will quickly realize that you have less ground clearance, less wheel travel, etc. There are cheaper and more practical ways to fit bigger tires with better off road performance.

But you are right; any lift will bring issues. It's the nature of the beast with modifications.

toyota keep adding more electronic crap instead of doing the right thing...which is:

    real front/rear selectable lockers!

At least that something that engineers got right on the Jeep Rubicons - probably the only thing right in those lol

I'm also not entirely ruling out a recalibration because I almost felt like my truck became more sensitive after they "fixed" it. Hopefully a spec sheet for the 2016+ becomes available like they have for the second gens, then when we know for sure what the perimeters are, we could most likely come up with a solution

i have mentioned it on 2 different threads, did you or anyone with this problem ever try putting your stock wheels/tires on the vehicle ? I really think, once you go over 33" (the reason most put drop bracket lifts on), i am thinking that the tires are so large, that the parameters that the VSC are calibrated for are thrown off. When going from stock to lifted and 35's, you do not know the cause of the problems. The easiest way to trouble shoot is to use the factory tires. If it stops the problems, you know that cause is the larger tires, if not, then you may have to try a different route. That obvious route is lowering the vehicle, but that defeats the purpose. I have read about VSC calibration which works 1 out of 10 times (i made up those #s), turning of traction control each tire truck is started or using a relay or wiring the switch to turn off on startup.

I understand what you mean and I haven't friend that only because my stock wheels and tires will not fit without running a wheel spacer to clear the drop brackets. I'll dig out my stockers and snag the spacers off my 93 and see what I find out.

Sorry, I did not follow the whole topic. Most likely, the mechanic broke the ABS sensor, known as the speed sensor. When I mounted my suspension it also gave trouble and I had to change the sensor.
If you have already resolved, disregard my message.

I didn't read your whole post. Most likely a climate control sensor brkmen. One time my climate control broke. That's what I think you should fix. If you already fixed your issues ignore this post.

That's a lot of added scrub radius...
The truck thinks it's sliding around corners.

They hooked up two timed relays to the switch. So when I start my truck it's off. Went on the interstate I want to use my cruise I just reach up and touch the button once
