Those are sweet! I may have to make a set of those. that my 2 ton hydrolic floor jack works on the LCA, but i've never felt safe...i think these would really secure it. good find, i'm surprised i've never seen those on the site.

I've got the 91039 and a 4 X 4 block. At $49.99 and 25 pounds it's a no brainer IMHO. I carry mine in a small portable tool box in the bed of my truck.

BTW, I used to carry a $29.95 AutoZone special that weighted 75 to 80 lbs in the trunk of my '71 Mustang. It would even be in there sometimes when we street raced (OPP of course), and sometimes I'd remove it, the spare, and the trunk in general to get "light". But I don't think it's a fucking stupid idea to carry one around.

A good chunk of wood will be your most imprtant tool if you get a flat and have to use your bottlejack.

Link rot. The link you clicked on was over 6 years old. It's long gone!

I agree it costs too much, but it is made in the USA (not the jack though, AFAIK)

And it's not just a bottle jack though, those extensions are really, really nice. And nothing to stop someone from using it for regular vehicle maintenance either. One of the reviewers said he use it on his vehicle with 37" tires regularly.

It would be nice if there was a cheaper alternative that did the same thing. None that I know of.

I use my hi-lift a lot, like once a month and lift from my sliders. I've been wanting to buy a floor jack... or similar bottle jack.

I have had the hi-flit foot slip out on me, but truck only dropped about 1" because jack stand was in place. Slippage was my fault, put floor jack on plywood with a peel and stick layered shit on it, and the peel and stick shit delaminated in a flash. Had I paid more attention to foot placement relative to truck, it wouldn't have happened, and I now only use regular plywood with a bolt through it which passes through the foot. You can also run a cable or strap through the hilift beam/foot and thru a wheel spoke for safety if it traction is an issue.

Anyways, when using it in my driveway, I lift just long enough to tuck in jackstand in appropriate place. Then let the jack unload to let the stand work, but I keep the Hi-lift there as backup.

If off-road, you could always just pack a jack stand with you. I did that for a number of years. It wasn't that much space. And before I had Hi-lift and an upgraded suspension, I just packed a cheap floor jack. Worked fine even in the dirt.
