OK, thanks for the clarification. Unfortunate, IMHO, but I can understand why they did it.

Bw s256 turbo with 3 in glass pack dumped pre axle raptor liner bed and top rails and fenderflares and rocker panels. Hunter side steps. Plasti-dipped upper fenders and emblems. satin black spray paint here and there inside and out. 5100's set to 1.75" up front . C channel front bumper. Maxxis bighorn 255/85/16
Its a good bit thiker than paint but no where near linex or rhino. I put two coats on the sides and three on the bottom. Ive got two really small scratches from haulin a metal ladder stand for 80 miles but linex doesnt fare well against metal corners, all of my works trucks are linexed and they lasted a few months still lookin new before the started gettin cut.

It's a bonus in my mind, though I would be interested in a liner material for more grip.

    starting over from scratch
Any liner can be good if you do it right you could get the DIY kits or pay to have it done but here are your
    options for bed liners:

1)DIY kit ex:Herculiner,Monsterliner,Raptorliner whatever that'll cost you anywhere from $30-$200 and it'll last maybe two years before it starts to thin out and you wanna do it again another $30-$200

2)You go to Line-X or Vortex or whatever they have in the mainland costs maybe around $300-$500 (depending on the truck) it chips or wears away then you pay again

3)Rhino Linings $500-$700 if you went with 1 or 2 we charge for removal and it has to be bare metal or paint no liner (sucks taking that shit out) looks better and comes with LIFETIME warranty so if it peels we fix it for free!

so really its up to you what you want.

p.s. we just finished a first gen double cab complete rhino the whole truck i'll be posting pics soon in a new thread

Wow, thank you for taking the time to explain all that. I'm going to either look into the hurculiner or just spray painting the bed. I don't need extra grip or anything just strictly cosmetic. My bed has white paint marks and some serious fading. Scratches I don't mind as it is a truck after all

I had rhino liner sprayed in my truck ( 2008 dcsb) back in 2010 and I am glad that I did it.has not peeled of yet,and it does help to keep things from sliding around.

Does anyone have any updates on how the spray in bed liners have held up the last 5 years?
